The statute also subjects the jail record to public-record examination. Protected juvenile, sealed, or otherwise restricted information may still limit what is produced. A web roster is only an access tool; it is not the statutory record itself.

When the three sources differ, start with identity and timing. Compare the booking date, warrant or case number, charge, and court. A person can have more than one jail stay, so a prior release date may belong to an older booking. Ask for the precise commitment and discharge entry tied to the booking in question, then request the matching court order by case number. This prevents a past release from being applied to a current case.
Chattooga Jail Photo Requests
The public Chattooga lookup is not a confirmed booking-photo source because its visible configuration turns photos off. A photo may still exist in the sheriff's booking file. Georgia law, O.C.G.A. § 35-1-19, limits law-enforcement posting and restricts disclosure when a requester may place the image on a publication that charges for removal. A lawful request may require an affirmation about the intended use.
Describe the requested photo separately from the discharge record, include the booking identifiers, and allow the sheriff to apply the statute. A GDC offender photo belongs to the state-prison record and is not necessarily the county booking image. Registry photos apply only to people with a legal registration duty. None of those photo sources, by itself, proves the date or reason for release.
